A transparent revenue model.

Authors with exclusive content on Book Club are eligible for a 20% revenue share. We calculate this by multiplying all applicable revenue by the percentage share of view time across all video content on BookClub and that 20% paid rate. We never have any hidden fees -- and only deduct taxes, hosting, and credit card fees.

All authors on the platform, with or without book-related video content, can register for an affiliate program where authors earn a percentage of any initial fee from a member who joins BookClub directly through you.

Links to encourage book sales appear alongside any unlocked title on the platform. We encourage supporting independent bookstores, but authors are able to identify up to four retailers of their choice.

What is BookClub?

Your new literary home! BookClub is a community platform that connects readers with authors and each other. Our library features a variety of books from a diverse mix of authors, and we’re always expanding.

We’re here to help authors like you cultivate a community, engage in ongoing conversations with your readers, and introduce your work to a new audience. Feel free to join our author waitlist if you’re interested in creating a profile for you and your books. You can also join as a reader to explore all BookClub has to offer!

How can I get involved?

Our goal is to build a flexible, interactive platform that grows with you over the course of your career and supports you wherever you may be in your publishing timeline. If you’re interested in being involved with BookClub, we encourage you to sign up for the author waitlist as we’re adding authors on an ongoing basis.

Does it cost anything for authors to join?

Nope! BookClub is free for authors. All confirmed authors will also have reader access to the platform.

As an author, can I make money on BookClub?

Absolutely.

At BookClub, we champion authors. At our core, we want to be your partner and advocate in promoting your content, highlighting your thought leadership, and helping you interact with your readers.

We are currently building a flexible, interactive suite of tools for you to monetize your expertise in whatever way serves you best. To start, every author profile prominently features purchase links to the retailer of your choice.

Does BookClub sell books?

BookClub is not a bookseller, but we will always encourage readers to purchase your books from the retailer(s) of your choice through direct, in-app links.

What are BookClub’s Community Guidelines?

We are committed to building a vibrant, engaged, accessible, and safe community for authors and readers. BookClub’s Community Guidelines are outlined here.

Does BookClub partner with publishers or publicists?

Yes! BookClub is eager to work with you and your entire publishing team—whether on the ideal timing for promotion, encouraging pre-orders, promoting a paperback launch, identifying a title for a paid and curated book club, or simply streamlining requests from book groups in one place for ongoing engagement and sales.

Does BookClub produce live events?

We partner with authors and their publishing teams to host and moderate live virtual events. If you’d like to partner with BookClub for a book event, please contact our team at authors@bookclub.com.
